Board of Directors

Maureen Okasinski - President:

Maureen served on the Parks and Recreation Commission from 2004-2008 and the Downtown Development Authority from 2008-2009. She has more 15 years of experience working in non-profits as a supervisor, administrator, grant writer, evaluator and teaching at Madonna University. She also has a lifetime of experience playing sports, loving nature, enjoying parks and seeking adventure and has been a fan of the arts and a dabbler in nearly all of them, from directing plays, making stop motion animation film, writing poetry and trying to learn to play the guitar and harmonica.

Diana Brang - Vice-President

As a successful event planner and fundraiser, Diana has raised money for the Boys and Girls Clubs, the Make a Wish foundation and founded Redford’s own DoggieRama, an event that celebrates everything pet-related. She served as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner for Redford Township from 2004-2008 and is currently serving as a member of the Board of the Trustees of Redford Township (term 2008-2012). She has worked in marketing and office management. Muscially, She has worked in the music industry for an independent record company seeking out and signing new talent. Artistically, she enjoys oil painting and planning arts projects with her two kids.

Robert Brang - Treasurer

Bob has an extensive background in finance and management. He served the township of Redford for 34 years first as a trustee and then as the township treasurer. He spends as much time as he can in the great outdoors-camping, walking, fishing. He brings his love of the outdoors and skills in finance to the board.

Mike Curle - Secretary

Mike has 12 years experience working in parks and recreation, certified playground safety inspector, serving as director of parks and recreation in Redford Township from 2004 to present, responsible for budgeting, overall policies and programs of the department. He has a Master's Degree from CMU in Recreation, Parks and Leisure Administration. He is also a member of the MMRMA Parks Committee regarding liability issues as they pertain to park facilities.

Roger Walker - Board Member

Roger is a retired educator with BS and MS in Industrial Arts and Technology education. He taught for 36 years at the middle school / junior high level. He is a life long resident of the Redford area, married with three daughters and five grandsons. He has been active in the Redford Union Schools as Band Booster President and treasurer, Blue and Gold Club Booster President and treasurer, and active announcer, scorer and timer at various sports events. Roger is a lifetime member of the Redford Jaycees and a past president. He has been a member of the board of the Redford Township Junior Athletic Association. He currently is the treasurer of the Redford Township Festival. He is interested in the furthering of sports activity, cultural events, the arts, technology and the conservation of green space in the Redford Township
